June D Black

June was born October 28, 1931 in Springfield, VT. The daughter of the late Gordon and Mary (Pebbles) Davis.

She married The late Richard T Black on November 3, 1951. He predeceased her in 1976.

She had worked at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre and also the Town of Waterford in the Public Works Department. She served on the RTM for several years. June was a avid Quilter and Gardener. She was a past member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Norwich where she taught Sunday school and Vacation bible school. She was a fan of the UConn Mens Basketball.

June is survived by her children Richard Black and wife Sherri, John Black and wife Murlene, Diane Sousa and husband Bob and Karen Houle and husband Jim, by her sisters Sandi Strong of Indiana and Pat Guarneri of NC. 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband June was predeceased by her sisters Beverly Coombs and Dorothy Morse.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
