

Uncasville- Kathleen “Kathie” Lee Wright, of Uncasville, passed away suddenly August 20, 2010 at the William W. Backus Hospital with her family by her side. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Kathleen was born November 8, 1955 in Latham, NY, the daughter of Edward Williams of Torrington, CT and Jane (Baeder) Williams of Plymouth, CT.
Kathleen was a very loving and caring person. She loved her cats and made sure the birds outside were fed. She loved all kinds of foods especially Mexican and Chinese. She enjoyed reading, being with friends, especially her best friend Betty Watson. They enjoyed going shopping, going out to lunch or just sitting at home talking and watching television, especially cooking and home makeover shows and watching a good Boston Red Sox game. She could often be seen at Dodd Stadium cheering on the Norwich Navigators (now the CT Tigers). She especially loved talking about her grandchildren.
She earned a Masters Degree in childhood education and loved to surround herself with children. She worked at the Navy Lodge Bright Horizon, and Eagleview for many years. She was a patriot and a big supporter of our troops overseas. She would do anything that she could to show support for those in harms way.
She is survived by her two sons David Brian Wright Jr. , his wife of 8 years Kristina Wright and their 7 year old son Ethan, all of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert Edward Wright, his wife of 2 years Kathy and their 6 year old daughter Ireen, all of Cape Cod, MA. She is also survived by her former husband David Brian Wright Sr. of Anchorage, Alaska.
Kathleen’s family will greet relatives and friends at the First Baptist Church of Norwich on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.
