I am so sorry to hear of Leon's passing.  We were friends when I was going to UCONN as an art major in the 60's.  I have such great memories of fun times with him around.  He was a unique individual with such a big heart.We all loved him so!  Just recently I was trying to locate him as we hadn't seen each other since then and he had been on my mind. Life is like that, you just drift away.

I am saddened to hear of Lee's passing. He was a special friend for all the years I lived in Conn. --we shared many meals, theatre and art events, and lengthy conversations. He was truly a unique man and I will treasure the many good memories from our young adult years.

I was saddened to hear of lees passing. My dad and he are cousins and I met him when I was working for a local bank. We got to talking once I realized his last name was the same am my maiden name. Parkhurst. I soon realized how we were related and I felt so connected to him. I treasure the few lengthy conversations we had when he stopped by. I wish we had more time especially since I lost my dad July 4th 2012. May they rest in peace together knowing how much they each were loved here on earth.

My thoughts  & prayers are with Lee's family -  Lee & I drifted apart when I moved away ,now to hear of his passing - We shared late nights,fun  evenings and 20 years of friendship & love ! Feel lucky to have known him .

Life is such a mysterious twisting journey - Brothers and sisters dancing in and out of each other's paths along the way - I'm glad that my dear friend Bev enjoyed the last dance with her brother Lee and is left with the best of memories that only siblings can experience.  A good passing to you Lee.

My husband and I send our sympathy to you upon the death of Lee.   
We have lived at 175 Yantic Lane almost 41 years.   I would visit with Lee in his driveway when I saw him outside, at the post office in Yantic, or at Stop and Shop in Norwichtown and we chatted.   Bev, your mother was a teacher at Samuel Huntington School where our son attended from 1975- 1980.   Miss Anderson was the principal at the school for many years.   
The last time I saw Bill was about 6 years ago at the Yantic Post Office.  I hugged him and we chatted.  He had a heart problem but could not be operated on.  We felt so sad about that.

Lee was my neighbor, two doors away, while I lived in the Mill at Indian Leap from 2007-2009. Lee knew everyone, and could always be counted on for a long and wide-ranging conversation. He defined the word "friendly." I am sorry to know of Lee's death and pray for his eternal rest. Please accept my condolences. I will join you at Maplewood Cemetery on Wednesday at 11, to pay tribute to Lee.

Our sincere sympathy to Lee's family from The Spirit of Broadway Theater staff and volunteers.  We was a loyal patron for so many years and it was always pleasant talking with him.
