Louis B. Robinson passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the age of 85. Born September 29,1940 in Upper Makefield Township, PA. He was a long-time resident of Norwich, CT. He was predeceased by his father Louis Robinson, mother Myrtle (Martin) Robinson, Sister Lynne Robinson, and two brothers Vaughn Robinson and Morris Robinson. He’s survived by his wife Susan (Perry) Robinson (married August 13, 1994), daughter Nicole Terry, her husband Dominick Terry and their daughter Jeminna Terry, stepdaughter Cherie Deso, stepson Richard Deso and their children.
He was a soldier in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam war from 1963 to 1969.
He attended Johnson and Wales University for business management but, went on to follow his dreams of becoming Sheriff for the state of CT in 1986, then turned Judicial Marshall in 2000, retiring in 2015.
He was a beloved husband, father, and Papa. He was a devoted family man, stoic, humble and resilient. He was a man of honor, grace and humility. He was an avid fan of Star Trek, Godzilla, and John Wayne. He frequented Dunkin in Uncasville, CT with his wife. They knew his order, (Medium hot chocolate with a turkey sausage sandwich on an English muffin, no egg, no cheese.) He loved going to Fort Shantok Park and watching his granddaughter run around. He is deeply missed and forever loved.
A memorial will be held at Church and Allen Funeral home 136 Sachem ST Norwich CT on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 1:00PM Followed by a burial at Maple Wood Cemetery with military honors.
