Marie C. Fleming

Marie was born March 14, 1935, in Preston, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Cheffo) LoPresti.

She married Richard L. Fleming October 13, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Jewett City. He survives her.

She had worked as an administrative assistant for Freddy’s TV.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved sports and was an avid New York Yankees and NY Giants Fan. She played fast pitch softball and coached for the Preston Parks and Rec. She also loved to bowl.

In addition to her loving husband Richard, she is survived by her son Richard Fleming Jr, of Preston, daughter Rosemary Fleming of Deerfield Beach, FL, brothers Paul LoPresti and his wife Jane, John LoPresti and his wife Anne and Joseph LoPresti, by her grandchildren Morgan Leigh Fleming and Christopher Ladd Fleming, daughter in law Denise Moore, special aunt Gloria Cheffo, and by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marie’s family would especially like to thank her caretakers, Darlene, Debbie, Donna, Terry, Hannah and Evelyn, for their caring and compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday evening at the Labenski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at the Labenski Funeral Home at 11 am. Burial will immediately follow in Preston City Cemetery.
