Mary T. DeNicolo

Mary was born January 21, 1927 in New Britain, CT the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Grace) Caulfield.

She married the late Felix “Phil” DeNicolo on August 14, 1954 at Sacred Heart Church in Norwichtown. Sadly, after 60 years of marriage he passed away on February 27, 2014.

Before her marriage, she had worked as executive secretary for the Norwich CT City Manager. She met her husband at a luncheonette near City Hall. Mary was a dedicated homemaker, loving mother, skilled baker, and an avid reader. She loved music, paintings and sailboats, along with English murder mysteries. Her greatest pride and pleasure was always her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Philip DeNicolo (COL, US Army Dental Corps) and his wife Denise of Spring Branch,TX, Marie Ladd and her husband Tim of Mattapoisett, MA, Joan Antisdale and her husband Kevin of Fairfield, CT, David DeNicolo of Rowayton, CT, and Paul DeNicolo and his wife Misti of Cincinnati, OH; sister Grace Nickeson; nine grandchildren, Connor, Ryan and Evan Antisdale, Ellen and Eric Faulise, William, Gianna and Francesca DeNicolo, and Angel Gonzalez.

In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her beloved sister Katherine Marien and her brothers Hubert, Joseph, Jean, Charles, and Donald Caulfield and her son in law, Michael Faulise.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich at 11 am. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
