

Norman Pelletier was born in Ft. Kent, ME to William and Isabelle (Saucier) Pelletier; He was one of eleven children.
Norman had been married for 58 years to his devoted wife Una Bernice (Deprey) Pelletier. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until 1954 and loved his country.
Norman worked at EB for 14 years and later became an entrepreneur where he started his own construction company. He and his wife also owned Central Café in Taftville, CT.
Norman loved to fly and owned his own plane to which his family were frequent flyers. He loved his animals especially one of his favorite dogs “Peanut”. Norman loved to laugh and to make others laugh. His spirit could illuminate a whole room.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice, his daughter Sharon and her husband Michael Bohara,, his son Norman and wife Cindy Pelletier, his son Daniel and his wife Sandy Pelletier, his son Karl Pelletier, and his daughter Karen and her husband Douglas Blanchette. Norman leaves behind 13 grandchildren; Norman, Jennifer, Shannon, Monica, Steven, Melissa, Daniel, Nichole, Christopher, Caitlin, Robert, Elizabeth and Destiny, two sisters Joanne Theriauth of Eagle Lake, ME. and Albena Myers of Springfield, MA. Norman has 17 great-grandchildren and 102 nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind numerous friends, and he will be greatly missed. He is predeceased by four brothers Williard, Adelard, Aurel and Theddule and four sisters Mabel Dionne, Leona Charette, Emalda Theriauth and Edna Fontaine.
Family and friends may visit Church and Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Church on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Norman’s honor to Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut, 227 Dunham St., Norwich, CT 06360.
