She was a beloved mother “Ma” grandmother, and great-grandmother “Mimi”who lived a long and remarkable life of 92 years.
Born and raised in Connecticut, she was a woman of strength, resilience, and a devoted Catholic. Strong-willed and independent. She faced life on her own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her presence was warm and her opinions were known.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors, feeling the sunshine on her face, and taking in the beauty around her. She taught us that “the little things” are that’s needed to warm a heart such as a McDonald’s happy meal as a little “treat”. She had a lively spirit and a love for line dancing, where her energy and personality truly shined. She was a cooker, baker and crafted beautiful quilts in her younger years. Her homemade Goulash and a fresh cake brought the family together at the table where brothers would argue, kids would be kids and Mimi would sit patiently with a look of annoyance on her face. However, the Goulash was always delicious.
She also enjoyed unwinding with her favorite comforts—a glass of Port wine or a sip of Baileys & Kahlúa. “Totties” as she called them. Her favorite pastime was often paired with laughter and stories shared among family and friends. Whether on the dance floor or gathered with loved ones, she embraced life with enthusiasm. She smiled, a lot.
Above all, she cherished her family. As a mother, she provided guidance and strength while raising a daughter, Penny, and three fearless boys—Paul “Brother,” Philip, and Patrick. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she offered warmth and kindness.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Her family finds comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in the lives she’s left behind on this earth. This morning she is now reunite with her two sons Paul & Phil, her husband Paul and granddaughter, Brittany. We’ve gained a Guardian Angel today and know she will forever look down on us.
