Peggy Ann Fanolis

Peggy Ann Piacenza Fanolis, age 71, of Norwich CT passed away surrounded by her family on July 11th, 2015 at W. W Backus Hospital.

Born December 5th, 1943, Peggy was the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (Smith) Piacenza.

Born and raised in Norwich, Peggy attended Norwich Free Academy. As an adult, Peggy owned and operated several businesses in the Norwich area, including Jan's Lunch, Good Times Arcade, and the Carriage House.

Peggy was predeceased by her parents, also her previous husband James McGeowan, her son Bob McGeowan, and also her sister Janet Martin.

Peggy is survived by her husband Rich Fanolis, her brother Michael Piacenza, her children Lisa Clavette, Lori Desbonnet, and Lenny Buchert, and her grandchildren Lauryn, Melissa, Rachel, and Adam.

Peggy was known for her warm heart and her sense of humor. She also enjoyed gardening, and had several flower beds in her yard. She will be missed by many.

Calling hours will be on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 6-8 pm. at the Labenski Funeral Home 107 Boswell Avenue Norwich. Funeral Services will be held on Friday July 17, 2015 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Norwich.
