Robert Earl Mobley Jr.

Mobley- Robert E. Mobley Jr. died peacefully at Ct. Hospice in Branford on Wednesday Nov. 19, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Edith (Poreda) Mobley whom he married on July 16, 1966. He is the son of Dorothy Mobley Jurcik and Robert E. Mobley Sr. He was born in Johnstown Pa. on June 11, 1947. He leaves a daughter Dawn D. Green of Lebanon and a favorite son in law Brian Green. Bob also leaves a granddaughter Abigail Green, as well as two sisters, Joanne Hostetler of Georgia, and Dorothy Diment of Ohio, several nieces and nephews, and a uncle, Telford Pelkey of Johnstown Pa. He was a notary public, and a member of the Norwich Jaycees, the Bozrah Moose Lodge where he was a member of the ritual team for many years., and a member of the Yantic Volunteer Fire Department for many years ending his career as a Rescue Captain. He was employed at the Covenant House in New London. Bob loves to travel with his wife to Europe, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Mexico, and especially Pocono Palace in Pa. Funeral Services and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to the Connecticut Hospice 100 Double Beach Road Branford Ct. 06405.
