Theresa P. Purwinis

Purwinis- Theresa P. Gervais Purwinis 93, of Gales Ferry, died April 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Nashua N.H. daughter of the late George and Rose Anna (Morin) Gervais. She attended Nashua NH Senior High School. On June 7, 1952 she married Stanley B. Purwinis at St. Louis De Gonzaga Church in Nashua NH. She was employed at the Nashua Corp. Nashua NH, and then the Ledyard Public Health Nursing Services. She was a member of the Adventures in Lifelong Learning, Our Lady of Lourdes Church Ladies Guild, the Norwich, Montville and Ledyard Senior Centers, the Senior Student Friendship Program, and the Norwich AARP . She was predeceased by a son Matthew James Perwinis. Besides her husband she is survived by a son Thomas John Purwinis and his wife Dawn, and her grandchildren Daniel Purwinis of Norwich, and Alison Purwinis of Providence RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 21, 2017 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 1650 CT-12, Gales Ferry. Burial is private. There are no calling hours.
