Beverly was born in Oneonta, NY in Sept. of 1942 the daughter of Gordon and Louise (Boyd) Smith. She had attended schools in Guilford, Oxford and Walton and was a graduate of the Walton High School. On Jan. 16, 1960 in Oxford she married her high school sweetheart Richard Oles, a marriage that was in its 51st year. Over the years Bev had been employed by the Norwich Shoe Co. and Simmonds Precision from which she retired at the age of 52.
Bev loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed going to watch her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed spending time on weekends taking road trips with her husband and trying to decide where they were going to eat for that day was always a challenge. She also enjoyed her once a year Christmas shopping trip with her mother and daughters. It was always a fun time for all. Bev was a member of the Canasawaacta Valley Free Methodist Church of Norwich and also was a member of and chaired up the Mended Hearts group in Norwich. Over the years Bev had amassed a large collection of angels and was always on the lookout for more.
Above all else Bev was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many. Rest in peace...
Beverly is survived by her husband Richard of Norwich, her children, Richard (Rick) Oles and his wife Lois of Norwich, Christina Power of New Berlin, Michele Beadle and her companion Miles Law of Norwich, her father Gordon Smoth of Oxford, her eight grandchildren Sarah Oles and fiancee Joseph Cuzzo, Chad Brown and wife Jessica, Kyle Beadle and wife Diane, Brett Oles, Lindsey Brown and companion Mark Ross, Bryan Beadle and companion Sarah Stevens, Dillon Beadle and Dakota Nelson. She is also survived by her sisters Lana Whaley and Lori Bentley and her brothers Larry (Cathy) Smith, Gordie Smith, Jerry (Elaine) Smith and Edwin (Tiger) Smith all of Oxford.
