

Carl L. Voorhis, 88, of Norwich, was finally reunited with his wife on April 23, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born in Norwich on October 20, 1936. Carl was predeceased by his loving wife, Glenda Voorhis; his parents, Theodore and Mildred Voorhis; his son, George Fowlston; and his sisters, Marion and Bernice. Survivors include his daughter, Gina and Chris Merritt; his daughter in law, Lisa Fowlston; his grandchildren, Todd and Janelle Fowlston, Staci and Kyle Campbell, Carl Voorhis Cook, Kayla Parker, Karlee Merritt, Jerry Voorhis Merritt, and Cody Mantell; his great-grandchildren, Miles Fowlston, Ellie Fowlston, Amaiah Rosario, Gabriel Rosario, Cole Campbell, Morgan, Linkin, Julien, Cullen, Brantley, and Cassius; as well as his great-grandchildren, A’mira and Jacob
Carl made his living as a baker for Victory Markets in Norwich. He will be remembered as a man who loved to take walks, go fishing, mow his lawn, visit garage sales and take drives to Binghamton. He was a loyal fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants, but he will be most remembered as a family man. He cherished every moment with them.
Calling hours for Carl will take place on Friday, May 2, 2025 at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich from 11:00am until 1:00 pm followed by a graveside service at Mt. Hope Cemetery officiated by Pastor Zach Thorp.
