He was predeceased by his father Cecil Wyckoff Jr. and nephew Dustin.
Chucky lived his life through the windshield of a truck. Fresh out of high school he learned to drive and pick up milk with his father, Cecil Wyckoff at C.D. Vanhorn trucking. Upon getting his CDL he worked many years for Earl T. Wadhams picking up dairies around the New Berlin, Edmeston areas. Through the years he also drove for Allied which picked up South New Berlin Milk Cooperative. He then took a break from hauling milk to driving over the road, hauling box trailers, crushed cars, and hot oil, and driving dump truck, learning that was not for him, he reverted back to hauling milk again working for Wadhams, then later taking a job with the Tripple family at Coventry Transport for the past 25 years. He met many farming families over the years and was well known throughout Eastern parts of NYS. Drivers at various milk plants would inquire with any Coventry Transport driver about Chucky. Upon moving to Smith Pond, Coventry in 2005, Chucky made many new friends. He was well known on the pond for giving out ice cream to the neighborhood kids and allowing anyone to go fishing when they stopped to ask. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone if they needed something, he was kind and giving.
When not in a milk truck Chucky loved spending time with family and friends. The little people (grandchildren) were what he enjoyed the most, always having ice cream or goodies on hand for them. When not with family, he also enjoyed hanging out with friends and tipping back a few. A celebration of Life will be held June 22nd, at the Coventry Town Hall Pavilion from 1:00 pm – 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Chucky to the Coventry Volunteer Emergency Squad and/or Greene Ambulance Squad. Both helped Chucky out over the years many times.
