Gary was born January 6, 1954 in Williamsport, PA, the son of Donald and Shirley (Denius) Fullmer, who survive him.
He graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1972. He played football for the South Williamsport Mounties during the year that Williamsport knows as “the Year of the Moon, the Mounties, and the Mets.”
Gary loved his music and was an avid explorer and traveler. He always wanted to know more about the “why” of things, and he instilled this curiosity in his children. In his younger years, he wandered from Alaska, Colorado, and Canada to Africa and South America. At age thirty, he found home in the hills of Preston, NY, where he lived for the remainder of his life.
Gary could do anything and followed many career paths. He worked for Kibbee Boiler Repair, the job which originally brought him to Norwich. He worked for Victory Markets until they closed, and then became a glazer for Norwich Glass for 16 years, after which he worked for the receiving department at Lowe’s until his retirement.
Gary is survived by his wife, Peggy (Graham) Fullmer, and he remains the love of her life. He has two incredible daughters, Hali Fullmer of Williamsport and Sara Fullmer of Gold Coast, Australia. He has one grandson, Jackson Tyler Bush of Williamsport. He is also survived by his sisters, Jody Fullmer and Sherri Holtzman, both of Williamsport. He was blessed with two nephews, one niece and their extended families, as well as many friends and special neighbors.
It was Gary’s wish that he be cremated and for there to be no services.
