Gary L. Hendrickson

Gary L. Hendrickson, 71, of McGraw, passed away on Monday October 18, 2021. He was born June 28, 1950, in New Berlin to the late Leland and Lorena Hendrickson. Gary was also predeceased by his brothers, Bernie Hendrickson, and Kenny Hendrickson; as well as his sister, Barb Hendrickson. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Hope Hendrickson; his children, Laura Hendrickson, Bob (wife, Christina) Hendrickson, Dan Hendrickson, Jay (wife, Theresa) Smith, James Smith, and Jerry Smith; his grandchildren, Aliya, Caleb, and Joshua Hendrickson, Payton Smith and Autumn Smith; his sisters, Deb (husband, Sonny) Rogers, and Jean Stagman; his brothers, Richard Merrihew, Ed Hendrickson, and Terry (wife, Lisa) Hendrickson, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Gary served his country in the US Navy and after being discharged he made his living working for many companies including I.L. Richer, Blueox, Webb Lumber, Lok N Logs, and retiring as a truck driver from Venice Enterprises; he also volunteered for the Oxford fire department in his younger years. In his free time, Gary enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and working on vehicles. He was also a big fan of Clint Eastwood movies.

A memorial service for Gary will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 27th, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St., Norwich, with Rev. Jeremy Stopford officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 26th, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
