Gerald Gerry R. Davis

Gerry was born on September 14, 1927 in Norwich the son of Raymond and Gladys Crandall Davis. He grew up in Norwich where he attended and graduated from the Norwich High School. Following his education Gerry enlisted in the United States Army serving in Alaska. Returning home he furthered his education by attending Hartwick College for two years. On October 24, 1949 in Plymouth he married the former Lucy Owens. In 1950, during the Korean Conflict, he was recalled to active duty serving in Germany. Gerry worked for Victory Markets for 30 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed his fishing, bowling, gardening and berry picking.

Gerry is survived by his daughters Peggy Heath and husband Roy of Asheville, NC, Diane Pritschow and husband Max of Pappilion, NE and Lynda Saady and husband John of San Antonio, TX and his brother Raymond Davis of Fernandina, FL. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren Holly Moore of Asheville, Daniel Pritschow of Omaha, NE, Sarah Pritschow of Wilmar, MN, and Nicholas Myers of Houston, TX.

Gerry was predeceased by his wife Lucy in 2007.

A memorial service for Gerry will be held on Monday, October 5, at 11:00 am from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Nancy Hale, Pastor of the Broad St. United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the South Side Cemetery of Plymouth.

There will be no calling hours.
