James C. Barnett, 39, of Preston, NY, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 2, 2019. Born in Syracuse, NY, James was the son of Darryl Barnett and Kelly DeSantis. James is remembered as being a dedicated Giants fan, loved living in New York State, and loving movies and friends. James is survived by his loving wife of fourteen years, Dawn; his children: Ryan Allan, Alex MacIntyre, Devon Barnett, Sean Barnett, and Logan Barnett; his granddaughter, Cassie Allan; his sisters; Nicole and Michael Ryan, Heather and Michael Longo, and Amanda Barnett; his stepbrother; Fred and Dominique Hoige; his mother and stepfather, Kelly and Jim DeSantis; his father, Darryl Barnett and several nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his grandparents; Phyllis and John Byrne and his aunt; Rhonda Baptise. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 North Broad Street, Norwich, NY with services immediately following at 4:00 pm.
