was born on November 18, 1955 to the late Joseph G., Sr. and Doris Hurlburt; He was

In his early years Joe grew up on a dairy farm. He supported his sons as a wrestling coach
when they were young then onto being part of the pit crew in their racing team as they grew
older. Being a farmer at heart, he passed his love of the land and animals onto his children and
grandchildren. His involvement in his family's life continued on with his unwavering support of
his granddaughters' barrel racing.
Joe enjoyed spending quality time with his family, whether that be in the hay field, in the
grandstands of a race track or on the outside of a riding arena supporting his favorite people.
Joe loved music and playing his guitar. Although Joe had a hard, old school exterior he was soft
and gentle on the inside. He will be deeply missed by all who were privileged to know him.
At Joe’s request, there will be no formal funeral services.
