Marion L. Murray

Marion was born in Pharsalia on October 13, 1924 the daughter of Samuel and Nora (Johnson) Murray. She grew up in the Pharsalia area where she attended the local country schools. Over the years Marion has worked for Berglas Mfg., The Norwich Knitting Mills and TACO of Sherburne. Her last employment for many years was with Valley View Manor Nursing Home where she worked as a CNA.

Marion was all about her family and loved all of the family get togethers. Lord knows she loved to talk and shop. Over the years she enjoyed going dancing, watching her favorite show on TV, especially cooking shows, and curling up with a good book.

Marion is survived by her children; Rhonda Coughlin of Sherburne, Roland (Joyce) Donnelly of Smyrna, Sam (Patricia) Donnelly of Norwich, Darlene Smith of Norwich, Mary (Charlie) Brown of FL, Jim (Cora) Donnelly of Norwich and Kendra Donnelly and companion Mike McGraw of Sherburne. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marion was predeceased by the father of her children Roland Donnelly, Sr., her daughter Patricia, sisters Mildred, Winifred and Violet and brothers Nelson (Bunk) Murray and Noral (Pat) Murray.

A service for Marion will be held on Friday, December 29, at 7pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in the South Plymouth Cemetery.

Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7pm.
