Phebe L. Kipp

Phebe Louise Moncur Kipp, 79, of Sherburne went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2019 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home where she had been a resident for almost three years. Phebe was born In Plymouth, NY to the late Josephine George Taylor and Eldridge Taylor. She was the eldest of ten children, her siblings being Sandra Taylor Crawford, Warren Taylor, Elenor Taylor Powell, James Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Phylis Jenkins Lewis, Karen Jenkins, Janice Jenkins Coulson, and Cheryle Jenkins Clark. She was a longtime member of St. Matthews AME Zion Church. On January 28, 2016, Phebe married Edward Kipp, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Marcia and John Tumminia, of Oxford, Maureen Taylor, of Utica, Georginna Moncur, of Mohawk, Rebecca and Kenneth Moncur-Ezel, of Albany, Joseph Moncur, of Albany, Arrel and Brenda Moncur, of Altamont, and Robert and Caitlyn Moncur, of Schnectady; 15 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Phebe will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 3, at Faith Bible Church, 45 Butler St. Oxford with Pastor Josh Rathmell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Phebe's family would like to thank the staff of Chase Memorial Nursing Home for the care she received during her stay there.
