Walter Maynard

Walter J. Maynard, born on August 14, 1946, in Lyons Falls, NY, peacefully departed this world on March 9, 2024. He was the beloved son of Frank H. Maynard and Freda (Green) Maynard.

Walter is survived by his devoted wife, Beverly Maynard, who stood by his side through all of life's joys and challenges. He will be deeply missed by his son, Sheridan "Dan" Maynard, as well as his stepchildren Terri & Roland Lewis, Connie & Brian Lewis, Howard & Carrie Whitney, Penny & Brian Gage, and John Powers.

In addition to his immediate family, Walter leaves behind a legacy carried by his siblings: Ruth (Maynard) Allen, Robert Maynard, James Maynard, Margaret Maynard Murray, Frank Maynard Jr., and Donald Maynard. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Walter was known for his passion for hunting, finding solace in the great outdoors. In his leisure time, he found joy in collecting miniature farm tractors, a hobby that brought him immense happiness.

As we bid farewell to Walter, let us celebrate the remarkable life he lived on Saturday, March 16, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the North Norwich Town Hall, 188 County Road 23, North Norwich.
