
Walter was born in Schenectady, NY the son of Stephen and Helen Wrzesinski. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic School as well as Union College where he earned his Pharmacy Degree.
A resident of the Norwich area for 37 years, Walter had been emplyed by the NYS Veterans Home as a Pharmacist. He had suffered from multiple sclerosis for 37 years but was always upbeat despite his disability. A faithful and dedicated member of St. Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Church, Walter and his wife Carol were members of St. Bartholomew’s Church choir which at the time was under the direction of Mary Ward.
Walter is survived by his wife of 41 years Carol of Norwich, his children Stephen Wrzesinski and wife Tammy of Albany, Laura Purificato and husband Stephen of Troy, his grandchildren John Walter Purificato, deceased grandchild Samuel Stephen Purificato and Chana and Aaron Wrzesinski. Also surviving are his sisters Dian Champion of Wis., Marcia Hoogkamp of Syracuse, Pam Wrzesinski of Rotterdam, sister - in - laws Joan LaRosa of Rotterdam, Felicia Carpenter of LA and several nieces and nephews. Walter is also survived by his beloved Norwich and Schenectady families.
Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-6 pm.
A service for Walter will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6:00 pm from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph A. Bove, Pastor of St. Bartholomew’s and St. Pauls’ Catholic Church’s will officiate.
