William T. Clipston

He spent his early years in Sylvan Beach NY, but spent the last 53 years as a resident of Norwich. While making his home in Norwich, he worked at Chenango Memorial Hospital in the maintenance department until his retirement. He also did carpentry and painting on his spare time for many residents in the area. He was an avid bowler for many years, also played men's slow pitch softball here in Norwich for CV Electric where he made many friends over the years. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He was a member of Sons of American legion and the VFW.

William was predeceased by his wife Deborah; his parents, Wesley and Albertha; and his son, William (Billy) Clipston.

William was survied by his sons, Robert and Cassie Clipston, and Neal Clipston and fiance Leah Millett; his grandchildren, Kaiser G. and Matte’a R. Clipston, Mareigha J. Clipston,, Griffin M. Clipston, Samantha E. Clipston, Mallory L. Mirabito, William L. and Brianna Clipston,, Samantha Jo Clipston, Zackory I. and Karah Clipston, Tayah L. Clipston, Leeanna R. Clipston, Chyanne E. Clipston, Shaelynne Z. Clipston, and Julieannah G. Clipston; his great-grandchildren, Lillie-Dawn, Delilah, Isaac, Josephine, Aria, and four bonus; his sister, Suzanne and Russ Fanning-Henshaw; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service along with a celebration of William’s life will take place at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Chenango Christian Church, 211 State Hwy 320, Norwich.
