Anna C. Daunt Maguire

She was the wife of the late Thomas Maguire and mother of Susan Goselin and her husband David of Chelmsford, Sheila Leary and her husband John of Wrentham and Joseph Maguire of Scituate and the late Tom Maguire Jr. She was the cherished and beloved grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Anna was the daughter of the late John Daunt and Katherine Eustace Daunt. She is survived by her dear sisters Mary McTernan and Veronica Phalen of Norwood. Anna was predeceased by her brothers John Daunt, Jerome Daunt and her sister Margaret Patriarca. Anna has many nieces and nephews.

Anna graduated from Norwood High School class of 1934 and then Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She had an exemplary career working at Norwood Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1982. She loved being a nurse and was known for her gentle, competent ways and kindness to everyone she met.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10th at 9:00am at St. Catherine’s of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Inurnment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
