Billy Ray Jones

JONES, Billy Ray of Norwood, MA. died January 16, 2012. He was 80 years old. Born in Gordo, Alabama, one of 11 children to Sam and Cecil Jones. He was a baker by trade at Stop and Shop and Wonder Bread, Local 328 and served in the US Navy. He was also a long time member of the American Legion and Woodmen of the World. The beloved husband of Ann Harding Jones of Norwood formally Lincoln, ME. Also the proud father of daughter Shirley-Ann Weir and her husband Daniel of Norwood and son Bruce Alan Jones and his wife Pauline of Elk Grove, CA. He was the beloved grandfather of Brent and Bradley Weir of Norwood and Ashley Ransow and her husband Daniel Ransow of Norwood. He was the dear brother of the late Nannie Sue Jones, Fannie Lou Jones, Nannie Mae Gray, Robert Jones, Jimmy Jones and Tom Bradley Jones. Also the dear brother to Betty Jo Miller, Sue Yarbrough, Doris Casteel and Wanda Smith all of Alabama. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, special in-laws and friends. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service Friday morning at 10 AM and the internment at Highland Cemetery, Winter Street, Norwood, MA.
