Carolyn L. Martin Griffin

GRIFFIN, Carolyn Lillian (Martin) 86, of Norwood, and formerly of Randolph, Monday October 30, 2017. Carol loved her family and friends. A devoted wife for near sixty years until the death of her loving husband Bill in 2016. She cherished her children and grandchildren. Her smile was infectious and her kindness endless. She loved all animals – especially cats and dogs. She was a leader in both the South Shore Humane Society and Friends of Animals. Daughter of the late Wilbur T. and Eva (Gartin) Martin. Beloved wife of the late William M. Griffin. Devoted mother of Kathleen M. Crowley and her husband Michael of Norwood, Bill Griffin and his wife Susan of Marblehead, Scott E. Griffin and his wife Denise of Norwood and Sean F. Griffin and his wife Sandra Powell of Randolph. Cherished grandmother of Brendan, Erin and Ryan Crowley of Norwood, Liam and Mia Griffin of Marblehead, Derik Griffin of Norwood and Aria of Randolph. Sister of the late Barbara Fielding and Dorothy Corrigan and life-long friend of the late Peg Eld. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 6 from 2 – 6 at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), NORWOOD, with a prayer service beginning at 5:30. All are welcome. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Carolyn’s memory may be made to your local animal shelter.
