Charles "Charlie" Baum, 61, passed away Friday May 22 at St. Vincent hospital in Worcester, MA. An extremely talented guitar player, he was well known to followers of blues music in the Boston area and internationally. He was part of several touring and recording bands through the years until the birth of his son Alex, at which time he stopped traveling and devoted himself to his family. Charlie was born at Norwood Hospital in January of 1954 to Harry E. Baum Sr. and Mary Nicholson Baum. His musical talent was realized and nurtured early on by his mother who bought him his first guitar. He is predeceased by sister Eleanor last November. He is survived by his former wife Martha and son Alexander, brother Harry and his wife Melinda of Dennis, MA; brother Richard and his wife Joyce, nieces Malaika Barr and Jessica (Baum) Gardner and many great nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering to remember this remarkable, kind and generous man on Sunday June 14th from 2pm to 5 pm at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. Norwood, MA
