Edward G. "Gerry" Sayers

Gerry was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the Irish Social Club of West Roxbury.

Beloved husband of the late Ann F. (Lyons) Sayers; loving father of Diane M. Bart and her husband Howard of Westwood; devoted brother of Frank Sayers of Quincy, Kevin Sayers of Dedham, Paul Sayers of Dedham, Richard Sayers of Roslindale and Dennis, and the late John and Joseph Sayers; cherished grandfather of Hilary Bart of Quincy and Bryan Bart of Westwood; dear friend of Sally Courtney of Quincy. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd at 9:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington Street, Westwood. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
