Francis P. Dunn

DUNN, Francis P., 80, of Walpole, MA died February 21, 2012, at the Brockton VA Hospice. Born in Greenfield, MA, he was the son of the late Francis P. and Blanche (White) Dunn. Raised in Jamaica Plain, Frank graduated from the St. Thomas Aquinas H.S. and Suffolk Univ. and was a proud USAF 10 year veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Gillette Co. in 1993. Among his lifetime passions were writing thoughtful poetry, cycling, fitness and photography. He was an active and dedicated member of AA in Westwood and Norwood, MA and also in South Carolina where he spent his winters. Frank leaves his devoted wife Olga (Tosti), his brothers, John (and wife, Carol) of Mansfield, Michael (and wife, Esy) of No. Attleboro, his late infant brother also named John, his sister-in-law Betty Mulry (and husband, James) of W. Roxbury, and the late John and Joseph Tosti. His many nieces and nephews will miss their uncle Frank. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1 at 8:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a 9:00am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment with military honors will take place in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
