

Gerald Corcoran, 72, a lifelong resident of Norwood, Tuesday, December 17. Born January 6, 1941, and educated, in Norwood, the son of the late John and Esther (Sinclair) Corcoran. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Bergman) Corcoran, loving father of Lisa and her husband, Domenic Silletti of Norwood, John Corcoran of FL, and Susan and her husband, Richard Tomasello of NH, cherished grandfather of Allison and Jack Silletti , the dear brother of Robert “Buddy” Corcoran of Norwood, Elizabeth “Betty” Gehris of Falmouth, Jane Hart of FL, Susan Bamond of Scituate, Dennis Corcoran of GA and the late John, Richard, Donald and Nancy Corcoran, and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. Gerry served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was a salesman for Airtex auto parts manufacturer and a mechanic for Don & Wally’s Service Center. Prior to that, he owned and operated Corcoran’s Esso gas station in Norwood for many years. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 21, at 9:00 AM from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 24 Berwick St., Norwood. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 20, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
