Gladys Gulnara Gonzalez

In loving memory of Gladys Gulnara Gonzalez, 61, a cherished resident of Norwood, MA, was born in Suscal, Ecuador. She peacefully passed away on March 1, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Gladys was the beloved daughter of Magdalena Heredia Espinoza and Julio Anibal Cárdenas Andrade.

Gladys will be remembered for her remarkable resilience, unwavering kindness, and boundless love for her family and friends. She dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting those she held dear, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Gladys was a devout Catholic who sought to infuse her life with faith and share her spiritual journey with those around her. Gladys touched the lives of all who knew her with her gentle spirit and compassionate heart, leaving an enduring legacy of love and kindness.

Gladys is survived by her devoted husband, Pedro Gonzalez Nieto, and their three children: Maryinez, Elizabeth Michelle, and Pedro Alejandro. She was also deeply loved by her siblings in Cuenca, Ecuador: Galo and his wife Martha, Cesar and his wife Bertha, Rina and her husband Jorge, Marcelo, Fabiola and her husband Esteban.

Additionally, she was cherished by her extended family in Massachusetts, including her mother-in-law, Ines Gonzalez Nieto, brother-in-law Luis and his wife Maria, sister-in-law Carmen and her husband James, and Flor Maria. Gladys was the beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews and dearly loved by her cousins and extended family.

Although Gladys may no longer be with us in person, her spirit and image will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her warmth, generosity, and love.

Services to honor and celebrate Gladys's life will be held at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD on Wednesday, March 6, at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood at 11 AM. Visiting Hours in the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Interment at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
