Jennie Patricia Ippoliti

IPPOLITI, Jennie Patricia (Palmerini) 91, died peacefully on September 22, 2016 at the St. Raphael's Campus in New Haven CT. She was the beloved wife of the late Renzo A. Ippoliti. She was born in Norwood, MA on August 19, 1925, daughter of the late Henry P. and Mary (Falcone) Palmerini. She lived in Norwood for the greater part of her life, but for the last 7 years she lived with her devoted daughter, Ann Marie Callahan in North Branford, CT. Jennie was also the mother of the late Lawrence, Paul and Francis Ippoliti. She was the loving sister of Josephine Palmerini and Rose Ross of Norwood, MA, Mary Jones of Walpole, MA, and brother of James Palmerini of Norwood, MA. She leaves behind her sisters-in-law Mary Bilotta Palmerini, Anna Ippoliti Greene and Wanda Ippoliti. She was predeceased by her brother Orrigo Palmerini and sister Elizabeth Palmerini Leggeri. Jennie is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, Marcy Callahan of NYC, Shaun (Gina) Callahan of Aurora, IL, Stacey (Matthew) Sandler of Florida and Andrew Ippoliti of Peabody, MA. Jennie leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Jennie was the soul of her family. They meant the most to her and she was the happiest when she gathered at family holidays. Jennie worked at Bird and Sons where she met her husband, and later volunteered at St. Catherine's School Cafeteria for many years. She also worked part-time for the family business Salem Paint Co. The Ippoliti family would like to thank Gina and Fran of the Guildford, CT VNA and private duty CNAs Nicole, Yolette, Lee, Katalin, Sally, Dana & Toni who cared for Jennie over the years. Funeral Monday September 26 from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD at 10:30, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 11. Visiting hours Monday 9 - 10:30. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Jennie's memory to the Alzheimer's Association , 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
