He was the widower of Ruth (Mulry), beloved father of Anne Marie of Charlestown, Judy and Carolyn, both of West Roxbury, Eileen of Quincy, and John M., III, of Providence, RI, the dear brother of the late Brian and Mary Hayes , and brother-in-law of Judy Hayes of Marlboro, and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will begin at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, on Thursday, August 9, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Timothy Church, Norwood, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. The family will receive visitors at the Gillooly Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 8, from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 130 Baronne St., New Orleans, LA, 70112.
