Born October 22, 1943, in Boston, the son of the late Joseph Mulkern and Florence (Hilton) , he was the devoted husband of 35 years of Mary Ellen (Kennedy) of Norwood, loving father of Kelli and her husband Chris Thrasher of Norwood, cherished grandfather of McKayla and McKenzie, dear brother of Mary Hanley of NH, and the late Joseph and Robert Mulkern, Florence Oster and Margaret Cranford, and brother-in-law of Ann Mulkern of Quincy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
