John F. Saroufim

SAROUFIM, John F. age 70, of Westwood, passed away at his home on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Faouzi and Blanche Saroufim. John attended school in Lebanon, and went on to study in France, where he earned his PhD in engineering. John had unwavering faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member for many years of Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Catholic Cathedral in West Roxbury. Family was at the center of John's life, and he was especially proud of his grandchildren. John worked for many years with Bechtel as a Program Manager.

John was the beloved husband of Yolla (Chahine) Saroufim, and the devoted father of Marc Saroufim and his wife Marie, and Luc Saroufim and his wife Sarah. He was the brother of Andree Saroufim, Joseph Saroufim and his wife Nora, Simone Saroufim, Antoine Saroufim, and the late Marie Saroufim. John was the cherished grandfather of John, Jana, Julian, Jazmyne, and Lucca Saroufim, and the loving uncle of Joe, Jacques, Christine, Gilbert, Michelle, and the late Andre.

Visiting Hours will be held in Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Catholic Cathedral, 7 VFW Parkway, WEST ROXBURY on Friday January 24, from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Cathedral on Saturday January 25, at 10 AM. Burial will be private at New Westwood Cemetery.
