Joyce T. Sullivan

Joyce T. Sullivan, of Norwood, MA, formerly of Walpole, passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 96.

Born in Boston on August 23, 1928, Joyce was a proud graduate of Dorchester High School for Girls and Boston Teachers College. She began her career as a dedicated educator in the Boston Public Schools before devoting herself full-time to raising her family.

Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel F. Sullivan. Together, they raised their family in Norwood. In her later years, she resided in Walpole.

She especially loved Cape Cod, spending many cherished summers in Dennis, MA, surrounded by family and the beauty of the ocean. Nothing made her happier than spending time at Bayview Beach.

Joyce leaves behind her loving children: Katherine M. Sheehan and her husband Joseph, Daniel F. Sullivan and his wife Lauren, Jeremiah P. Sullivan, and Barbara E. Sullivan. She was a devoted grandmother to Meredith, Lauren, Rachel, JP, and Adam, and a proud great-grandmother to Anna, Caris, Chloe, and Nolan.

Joyce was the heart of her family — a true matriarch whose strength and grace will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visiting Hours in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St, (Rt.1A) NORWOOD, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 9:30AM-10:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington Street, Norwood at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dennis Village Improvement Society or a charity of your choice.
