

OCHS-DEMPSEY, Julie C., 40, of Norfolk, passed away, Tuesday, May 19, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness. Julie was born in Weymouth, the adored daughter of Lillian (Chiano) Ochs of Plymouth and the late Thomas Ochs. She attended Weymouth schools and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham and Assumption College in Worcester. She worked as an insurance underwriters’ assistant for XS Brokers in Quincy for 14 years. Julie loved sports, especially hockey and soccer and played soccer in high school. She was an avid animal lover and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and riding motorcycles with her husband and brothers-in-law. Julie was the beloved wife of Ryan P. Dempsey of Norfolk; the loving mother of Zachary T. , and Nathan T. Holmes, of Norfolk; the cherished niece of Maria Martell of Bourne and Janet Ochs of Quincy; and the dear sister-in-law of Michael Dempsey of Franklin, NH and Daniel Holway of Concord, NH and a friend to many. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks to all those who have supported Julie’s family for so long during her illness. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, (781) 762-0174 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 28th, at St. Jude Church, 86 Main St., Norfolk. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Julie to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
