Marie Lorette Sanon-Lazare, age 71, of Norwood, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Lamartine Lazare and Amerique Rabel.
Marie was a proud and hardworking businesswoman who owned a boutique in Haiti, offering a variety of goods to serve her customers. She began her education at the Congreganist trade school of L’Aurore du Belle-Air, where she learned the art of pâtisserie. She then continued her studies at La Salésienne de Don Bosco, where she cultivated her talents in sewing and the culinary arts—skills she continued to use throughout her life, especially during family events and gatherings. Marie began her professional career at Trans Vague Electronics Manufacturing Industry in Haiti, where she worked producing internal cassette pieces, before embarking on her journey as a full-time businesswoman.
Marie had a deep love for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals that brought people together. She also enjoyed traveling alongside her beloved husband, Parice, creating cherished memories wherever they went. She had a passion for fashion and took pride in her appearance, whether dressing elegantly or enjoying moments of self-care.
Above all, Marie was a devoted woman of Christ who found strength and peace in the Word of God. She loved studying the Bible, sharing her faith with others, and singing from Chant d’Espérance, the Haitian religious songbook she cherished. She was known as a true prayer warrior who uplifted many through prayer, and she also found comfort and joy in listening to gospel music.
Marie will be remembered for her loyalty, love, and unwavering devotion—to her husband, her family, and her faith. With a caring and compassionate heart, she found fulfillment in nurturing and supporting others, leaving a lasting impact on all who were blessed to know her.
