Mary Agnes Finn Devine

Devine, Mary A. (Finn) of Dennis, formerly of Norwood, June 12, 2011, after a lengthy illness with Alzheimers. Devoted wife of the late Benedict P. Devine. Loving mother of David Devine of East Dennis and Patricia Rioux of Medfield. Also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD Thurs. June 16 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home, prior to the Mass 8:00 to 10:00 AM. Mary was born on August 2, 1919 in Dedham, MA and was the daughter of Maude and Henry Finn. As a young woman, she worked at Frank A. Morrill insurance Co. in Norwood for thirty five years. Mary and Benedict were married for forty eight years. During their marriage they traveled extensively throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. After her husband’s death, Mary worked part time in the Men’s Dept. at Macy’s for fourteen years and continued to pursue her love of traveling. Mary and her family maintained a home on Cape Cod throughout their life. The Cape held a special place in her heart, as she spent many wonderful days with her family enjoying the beauty of the Cape. The family would like to thank the Manning Family and staff of Grumpy’s Restaurant of East Dennis for their unwavering generosity and extended kindness toward Mary.
