McDermott, Mary T. (O’Brien) of Norwood, Jan. 6, 2012, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at age 98. Daughter of the late John and Margaret (Corcoran) O’Brien. Devoted wife of the late James F. McDermott. Loving mother of James F. McDermott and his wife Sandra of Taunton, Maureen A. Jagelski of Mansfield and Gerard T. McDermott and his wife Mary Jane of Norwood. Cherished Nana of Julie McDermott, Holly Denehy, Rick Jagelski, Tammi Koppy, Daniel, Lindsey and Colin McDermott and nine great grandchildren. Beloved sister of the late, Catherine Rosata, Margaret Hesselschwerdt and John O’Brien. Dear sister in law of Lucy O’Brien of Peabody. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD, Tues. Jan. 10 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine Church, Norwood at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home, Mon. Jan. 9, 5-8 PM.
