
Olga B. Rapp, longtime resident of Norwood, Massachusetts passed away on June 2, 2017 at the age of 93. Born in Boston and raised in Roslindale. She was the daughter of Arthur E. Bubinger and Sophie C. Bubinger.
After attending public schools she continued her education at the American Institute of Banking. She had a long career in commercial banking which included positions as, Assistant Manager at Shawmut Bank, Administrative Assistant at Rockland Atlas National Bank and Assistant Treasurer at State Street Bank and Trust Co. of Boston.
Olga was a charter member and past President of the Faneuil Business and Professional Women’s Club (National Federation), member of the National Association of Bank Women, member of the Massachusetts Bankers Association, Massachusetts Notary Public, Norwood Hospital Auxillary Executive Board member, life member of Sharon Fish & Game Club and long time member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Norwood.
During World War II she actively volunteered with the USO (United Service Organization) and continued her support of the USO and DAV (Disabled American Veterans Organization) throughout her life.
Olga had extended family in Germany and the United States, and traveled abroad throughout her life. She also traveled extensively representing the professional organizations that she belonged to.
She is predeceased by her late husband William E. Rapp Jr. and survived by her daughter Leslie A. Daskam and late son-in-law James, her son William M. Rapp and daughter-in-law Deborah.
She is the Grandmother of Lyndsay O. Boysen and husband Andrew, Kristoph W. Rapp and wife Amanda, Jeffrey A. Rapp and wife Anna, Gregory E. Rapp and wife Christine, and nine great -
grandchildren.
Services were held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to the USO and the MSPCA.
