Wow! Three years already! I’m still missing your smile and friendship every day Bob!

“Duece” was an amazing leader.  There aren’t too many people I can say that about. He treated us not like people who worked for him.  He made us feel like we were actually  working with him.  We would do anything for him because we felt the love and respect that he freely gave us. 

This arrangement ultimately led to organic friendships and dance-offs.  Tears of blue are streaming down many cheeks tonight missing you and keeping you alive in our memories.  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life.

miss our "over the fence" talks, laughs, and antics.

I will always remember Bob for his compassion, friendship and sense of humor. Bob could light up a room with his antics and loved making everyone laugh. In the early days of knowing him, I thought his behavior was due to "VODKA, VODKA, VODKA", but soon learned that this behavior was just who he was, all the time. He made watching NFL games so much more fun . . . "throw it to Fitzgerald!" or "put Gurley in!" - these were his picks in fantasy football and he needed more points to beat everyone. I found myself watching all the teams, largely because of him. Then there was the food . . . I don't know who enjoyed it more, Bob picking out and making new recipes or us having the pleasure to eat all the delicious creations. Probably a toss up. To say we will miss him doesn't quite cover it, yet I am so grateful for all the memories.

Martha, Sarah and Doug. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that if the garage door is open, you are always welcome to come in.

Bob and I attended the Waltham Police Academy together in1983 and became friends as we became police officers! I asked him to be in my wedding party in 1986 and I still treasure the photo of Bob dancing with my mother that day with a beer in his hand! We went on to have many similarities in our lives that kept us together as friends. A good laugh, a good beer! We both had 30+ year law enforcement careers! We both ended up marrying red heads with glasses! Both our wives had first names ending in the letter A! Bob and Martha had two children. Though, Theresa and I went on to have a third! Bob was a dedicated Officer, father and grandfather! His sincere smile and caring personality will be remembered by all he ever came into contact with. I will certainly miss him and treasure my memories of him! God will take good care of him! He was one of the good guys!

A kind and gentle soul.....We are so lucky to have known Bob as a friend and neighbor and we will miss him.  To Martha, Sarah, and Doug,  we send our love and deepest sympathy..

I was so honored Bob gave me his time to visit last week.

My memory is only Bob could do the “circle dance “, middle of a room, his long arms swirling like he was stirring up a “pot of stew” WOOHOO.  Always raised the roof.  

And there IS that smile and heart of gold.   A good friend.

Bob was a true Patriot.  He always participated in the Patriotic Rosary and represented the Norwood Police Department in his police uniform.  It was an honor to have him with us.  He was always kind and pleasant, a true gentleman.  His friendly wave working a road detail always made me smile.  Our community has lost one of Norwood's very finest.  He will be sorely missed.

 Bob was so much fun to be around and was always the life of the party. Whether playing air guitar at the annual Killeen Rd/Coney St block party,  hosting their Christmas party with all of Bob’s delectable creations or at the Elks for the Circle of Hope dinner/dance. All such fond memories, he will be sorely missed.
