Ruth M. Leahy Cormier

CORMIER, Ruth M. (Leahy) 92, longtime Norwood resident, formerly of Cotuit Wednesday August 2. Daughter of the late Benedict and Catherine (Murray) Leahy. Beloved wife of the late Floyd J. Cormier. Devoted mother of Kathleen Curran and her husband Stephen of Wrentham, Mary Hogan and her husband Robert of Norwood, Patricia Scott and her husband Michael of Ancaster, Ontario and Paul “PJ” Cormier and his wife Jeanne of Cape Girardeau MO. Cherished grandmother of Chris Flagg and his wife Emmanuelle Langlais-Flagg, Caitlin Nunez and her husband Alex, David Curran, Paul Hogan and his wife Christine, Cathy Daily and her husband Jim, Colleen Ellse and her husband Jeff, Meghan Scott, Ryan Scott, Leif Sawyer and his wife Heather, and Erin Williams and her husband Sam. Sister of Patty Curry of Palm Desert CA, and the late John and Bobby Leahy. She is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Ruth was a retired Registered Nurse, and U.S. ARMY Veteran. Funeral Monday, August 7 from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 11.
