Thomas J. P. Collins Sr.

Mr. Collins was a Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Cuban Conflict. He retired from the Norwood Fire Department after 30 years of service. He was very active with various veterans’ services in Norwood and a 30 year member of the Norwood Retirement Board.

Beloved husband of Joan L. (Bouchard) Collins; loving father of Thomas J. Collins, Jr. of Norfolk, Maryann Tryon of Barnstable, Michael J. Collins and his wife Jane of Libertyville, IL and Jane E. Mack of W. Springfield; cherished grandfather of Thomas, David, Elizabeth, Robert, Michael, Benjamin, Patrick, Ryan, Brendan, James and Kaitlyn; proud great-grandfather of seven; son of the late Jeremiah and Margaret (O’Donovan) Collins.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 9th from 9:00-10:30am at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment with military honors will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
