

Thomas A. O'Shea, 81, a longtime resident of Brewster, formerly of Weymouth and Norwood, passed away Saturday, May 10, at the Epoch of Brewster. Born in Boston, he was the son of Thomas A. and Helen (McGrath) O’Shea. Tom was the beloved husband of the late Rosalie A. (Carlson) O’Shea, the loving father of Thomas A. “Tee” O’Shea, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Milford, CT, Elaine and her husband, John Davenport of Franklin, Stephen O’Shea and his wife, Joan of Hamden, CT, and Susan and her husband, Stephen Brown of Franklin; the cherished grandfather, affectionately known as “Grampa,” of Katelyn, Christopher, and Kerry Davenport, Casey and Kristen Brown and Erin O’Shea; and the dear brother of Roger O’Shea and his wife Marilyn of Lakeville, and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was a 1950 graduate of St. Sebastian’s School and a 1955 graduate of Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Army in the 8th Infantry Division, honorably discharged in 1962. After the military, Tom worked at Northrop Corporation in Norwood for 30 years until his retirement in 1985. Tom enjoyed many trips to Ireland with friends and family. He had a love of boating and was an active member of the South Shore Yacht Club, and its past secretary, for many years. He moved to Brewster and enjoyed his retirement with his beloved Boxers, Bonzo and Jasper. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 19, at 9:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Boston. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 18 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
