William J. Doherty Jr.

DOHERTY, William J. Jr. 93, of No. Quincy, Friday February 9. Son of the late William J. Doherty Sr. and Anna V. (Leahy). Brother of the late Anna Flaherty, Helen Stevens, May Majeski, and John Doherty. Uncle of Kevin Flaherty and his wife Kathleen of Norwood, Anne Marie Morris and her husband Thomas of Plainville all four who were his caregivers. Also Uncle to Brother John B. Flaherty CFC, Judith Richardson, John and Paul Majeski, John and Frederick Doherty, Sheila Suggs, Barbara Newton, and Robert and William Stevens. William was a graduate of Boston College, and a WW II United States ARMY Veteran. He worked for 50 years for The Boston Globe, retiring as an Executive in Sales. Funeral Thursday February 15 from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD, at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 11. Visiting hours Thursday
