The first time I laid eyes on you
You held me close, and the look of joy in your eyes
From that day forward I knew I would always be " Daddy's Girl"
From baseball games, to riding a bike and boo boos
I'd turn and look and you were always there

You taught me right from wrong, good and bad, to care and share, and when someone needed you to always be there

Soon the day, the angels came
I would give a million dollars to have you back, and to say:

                           " Happy Father's Day"

Pop just want to say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY,and that you are in my heart and soul.David,Tricia,Kristina,Shannon,Javes and I miss you and love you.I know you are okay because you are with our maker.See you soon when God is ready for me until then,keep watching over all us,our angel.

I can not say goodbye
My heart is broken and all I do is cry, sometimes I cry myself to sleep at night.
Dad you were my hero, my life and my best friend.
You were a very loving person, You were the best Dad ever.
You were always there for me.
I realized the other day I can't call you on the phone, I can't come see you anymore.
No matter how loud I scream and as I drop to my knees for you can not respond to me.
I'm having a really hard time with this Dad. My heart hurts so bad, as if someone is standing there just squeezing it and won't stop.
" I want my Dad back". 

You always worked so hard, but never seem to get that break.
I always wished I would hit it big and be able to take care of you and Mom for the rest of your lives.
I wanted to give you's the world. If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have spent allot more time with you.
But life was not meant to be known, if it was we'd all be perfect.

I do talk to you allot, I hope you can hear me.
I need your strength to help me each day to carry on. For I'm not doing well on my own.

Dad,
I miss you so much, and love you equally. I am having a very hard time with your passing. My heart is in so much pain, I want to jump out of my body to relieve the pain. I hope I am doing what you wanted as far as Mom, I am trying very hard to make what you wanted happen. I re-live your passing every time I have to go to the Funeral Home to sign papers, I don't like it, but it has to be done. I talk to people on your behalf and they say "the deceased" but I say "that's my Dad, please don't say it that way" I am trying to handle all that needs to be done, but I cry every day, it is hard. I will take care of Mom, don't you worry Dad. Sometimes I lay beside you at Gardens of Faith and talk to you-I somehow hope you can hear me. I love you Dad and I will miss you so much, Don't worry about Mom, she will be taken care of. I miss you and Love you, you were the best Dad.

Our Dad

We will never say goodbye Dad. We know in the end we will see each other again. The angels took you to a place where there's no pain, nor suffering and you are with God. We'll always remember your Daddy hugs, the strength you gave us. How you always listened, loved and stood by us. You were not only our Dad but our best friend. We'll very grateful and proud to call you "Dad". You will always be deep in our hearts. We would give  up everthing just to be able to to hug you again, if we could turn back the hands of time we'd never let you go. We were all there to hold your hand, it was that day our hearts stopped, we could not speak, and the tears fell like rain that day. It was so hard to let you go, we love you soooo... much. I thank God everyday for giving us the greatest gift he ever gave us- It was YOU- Our Dad.

He spent most of his younger years in Clintwood, Va. Those who knew him, he always wore tee shirts, blue jeans and penny loafers. So when you look at him you are looking at country. He loved the countryfor he was a country boy at heart. Shoveled coal into bags to earn a dollar. He had a hard life growing up. Soon he joined the Army, to protect and fight for his country. One day when he was home on leave a beautiful young lady Marie E Miros came over his Mom's house, from that day forward he said that will be his wife. Sure enough they got married and she became Marie E Vest. As time went by they had six beautiful children. He always helped my Mom with the babies. If you knew him: his wife, children, grandchildren and family were not welcome neither was he. He was a family man, a true friend who was there for the good times and the bad times, a loving brother and son. Our Dad was strict but a kind hearted man. He soon became a Police Officer, a job he loved. We always listened to his stories, great reenacted as he told the stories. He always worked hard but never could get ahead or catch a break. Every car he bought as soon as drove it off the lot it would break down. But he was never one to complain, nor would you know his troubles. We grew up poor but we were rich with love. We sometimes had no electric, food, winter coats, shoes held together by rubber bands, and our boots were plastic bread bags over our shoes. We made it through it, and we always some how fun while we did it. Lots of times he had not a dime in his pocket, done without lunches while he worked hard, but he done without and made sure his family was taken care of first. I remember our Charlie Brown Christmas, and the anniversary party we had for them when we were younger. I'd get up early and go with him to watch him play baseball, or go watch him bowl. I even got to go to a ball game when he was working them. He would sit through plays we'd put on for him and Mom. He was one to follow the law, rules and of course directions; if the box of spaghetti said rapid boil for 5 minutes, he'd look at his watch and timed exactly 5 minutes but the funny part was we'd watch him blow on the noodles to keep from boiling over. We said Dad why don't you turn it down, nope it said a rapid boil, and we'd wait for him to pass out from the continuous blowing on the noodles. He would dance and whistle out of the blue or while he cooked. Dad taught us how to love and our work ethics. He was the kind of Dad who was always there for us no matter what. He loved each one of us for who we were and never gave up on us. He'd give us advice but never tell us what to do. There was nothing like I need a hug Dad. I thanked God everyday that he was our Dad. The unconditional love him and Mom had, they loved one another so much. When you'd see them out they always held hands, and he always told Mom how beautiful she was, in his eyes he always seen the woman he first met. In the end he was a fighter, bound and determine to take care of Mom. He told the doctors that was his sweetheart and when he married her he promised to take care of her for the rest of his life, and he was not gone to turn his back on her now. His little body could not take anymore, so the angels came and took him to God. For it is so hard for me to say goodbye, so I'll say I'll see you later Dad. My heart hurts so bad, but God will help me with that. I love you so much and I miss you so much Dad.

Pop,from the first time I ment you and mom,you opened your arms and hearts up to Shannon and I.You always made us feel like family before we were really family.You were a great dad,grandfather,greatgrandfather and friend.You will be greatly missed.Thank you for letting Shannon and I be apart of your life.You are in my heart and I love you and always will.I know God is loving all over you.We will see you soon in heaven.Sending you kisses and hugs from the family.

Mr. Bill you will always be remembered as our adopted dad . you were a prime example that you don't have to be blood to be family. Thanks for loving us and always being there.you will be missed.

you were not just a father in law to me your my father. I want to tell you how greatful i am to have you in my life i will always love and miss you. Your in my heart and you'll never be forgotton love you always.
