Charles Joseph Ferraro, Sr., age 94, of Nottingham, MD, passed away on September 9, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen Ferraro (nee Mezzanotte); devoted father of Charles "Chuck" Ferraro, Jr. and his wife Vicki, Mary "Honey" Ferraro Smith and her husband Phil, and Michael J. Ferraro and his wife Wendy; loving grandfather of five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; dear brother of Rose Trombetta and her husband Rudy, and the late Theresa Ferraro. Charles is survived by many loving extended family and friends.
Charles was born and raised in "Baltimore's Little Italy". He was an honored member and past President of the Little Italy Lodge of the Sons of Italy. Charles also served in the United States Marine Corps.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 4-7 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Charles' name to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org
