
Gerald Thomas Albrecht, 89, of Henrico VA, formerly a resident of Baltimore, MD, for 50 years, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Exxon in 1986, where he worked as a Credit Specialist, was a member of St. Joseph Church in Fullerton, Md., a member of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign War and was an avid golfer. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Stephen F. Albrecht and Rose M. Albrecht, a sister Doris Cecelia Conley and a brother Stephen F. Albrecht, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy S. Albrecht, two sons, Gerald T. Albrecht, MD and wife Pamela, and Robert E. Albrecht and wife Cyndi, a sister Elaine Pauline Wilder, four grandchildren, Patrick, Kevin, Christine and Eric, and two great-grandchildren, Miles and Keller.
Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on Thursday, December 17, 2015, from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 8420 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis TN 38105.
